It isn't easy to exercise self-control of our feelings.
However, we can absolutely exercise self-control by responding to others regardless of our feelings.
Leaders must spend more time reflecting on how they exercise self-control and the subsequent impact on those they lead.
Leaders, spend less time reflecting on what others have done to you and more time reflecting on how you responded.
Make the appropriate adjustments to how you respond to others when you're feeling low or disappointed. You will improve your own credibility, team dynamics, and, possibly, the team's results.
This is Personal Agility: Seeing and Delivering Change to Self.
