Focused Energy

I hear and see so much talk about what other people are doing or not doing. The fastest way to the bottom is to fixate on, criticize, and bemoan the actions of others.
If I'm interviewing someone, especially for a leadership role, I'll check their social. If it's filled with this stuff, it's an automatic no, and it doesn't matter how many degrees the person has, how many letters are before their name, or how great their resume is.
Great leaders know they have a lot to work on and grow in. Part of what makes them great is their relentless pursuit of understanding themselves and how they need to be transformed.
The best two ways to focus your energy as a leader are:
Personal growth through self-reflection and listening to others' feedback.
Coming alongside others, helping them be at their very best.
